Romans 16:1-16 // November 17th, 2024
Teaching overview
This week’s teaching was on Romans 16:1-16. In this text, Riley highlighted the profound unity Paul experienced in his diverse relationships with the church leaders in Rome. This unity transcended ethnic and cultural boundaries, embraced gender diversity, and bridged economic differences. Through this lens of unity, Paul recognized the people in multiple ways: as those in Christ, as saints, fellow workers, beloved companions, and members of a spiritual family.

For further meditation…
Lord, thank you for the beautiful unity found in Your body, where ethnic, cultural, gendered, and economic differences are celebrated as a reflection of Your creative power. Teach me to value diversity as a strength and to see others through Your eyes—beloved and equal in Christ. How can we build unity amidst diversity in our daily life?
Father, thank You for the ways Paul recognized the believers as saints, workers, beloved, and family. Help me to see others as members of Your family, with a shared mission and identity in You.
Just as Paul experience deep friendship & unity with a variety of believers, help us build deep community together as we serve, and love one another in the community of believers in my church.
