Romans 16:17-27 // November 24th, 2024

Teaching overview

This week’s teaching was on Romans 15:8-21 In this text, Riley talked about the church being susceptible to various temptations. We as believers need to be watchful, guarding our hearts and avoid being lead astray as we live in the way of Jesus.

Our prayer for your Community

Our prayer for you this week is that, as you gather with family and friends during this Thanksgiving season, you take time to reflect on all that the Lord has given you with hearts full of gratitude.

Group questions

  1. How is God speaking to you through this passage or idea? (Seek)

  2. In what specific ways can you follow Jesus into deeper faith in light of this passage? (Practice)

  3. How can we as a group support you in living out what we’ve discussed this week? (Mission)

For further meditation…

  1. Reflect on the importance of guarding unity in your faith community by examining the teachings and influences in your life. Are they aligned with God's Word, or do they create division and distraction? Seek God's wisdom to discern the truth and commit to nurturing harmony rooted in His teachings.

  2. Take time to reflect on how God’s wisdom and power have established your faith, bringing clarity and stability to your life. Praise Him for the mystery of salvation revealed through Jesus Christ and His daily guidance. As you meditate, journal specific ways you’ve experienced His faithfulness and share your gratitude with someone as a testimony to His goodness.

  3. Consider how obedience to God brings joy and peace, and reflect on the areas of your life where He is calling you to deeper faithfulness. Thank Him for His grace that strengthens your obedience, and seek His wisdom to pursue what is good. This week, identify one small, practical step of obedience you can take, trusting God to guide and empower you as He fills your life with His peace and joy.
