Romans 12:9-21 // September 22nd, 2024

Teaching overview

This week’s teaching was on Romans 12:9-21. In this text, Justin Thomas emphasizes what it means to be the church, highlighting how we, as followers of Jesus, respond to God's mercy by living as worshippers. We are called to live our lives with other believers in three ways: 1) Sacrificially, 2) Differently from the world, and 3) Transformationally.

Our prayer for your Community

Our prayer for you this week is that you allow the Holy Spirit to transform your life from the inside out, so that you can live out these scriptural instructions and be changed by Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Group questions

  1. How is God speaking to you through this passage or idea? (Seek)

  2. In what specific ways can you follow Jesus into deeper faith in light of this passage? (Practice)

  3. How can we as a group support you in living out what we’ve discussed this week? (Mission)

For further meditation…

  1. What are ways to be devoted to others outside of a Sunday morning gathering?

  2. How can I practice genuine love, and hospitality towards other believers?

  3. In what ways can I live transformationally, where the outside world would see that i live differently than how the world operates?
