Jon and Shannon Mirich

Jon and Shannon attended Mountlake Church from 1996 until 2016, when they followed the call to serve as dorm parents at Rift Valley Academy (RVA) with Africa Inland Mission in Kenya. They serve at this mission boarding school of around 500 students whose parents are missionaries all across Africa. Jon manages computer systems, teaches photography, mixes audio, and coaches soccer; Shannon is a teaching midwife at the mission's hospital.
Our primary mission is to love and serve missionary kids and their families by caring for, teaching, mentoring, and discipling, as their parents serve across Africa, even in closed countries.
We want to see the gospel of Christ reach the 300 million unreached in Africa.

Having so fond an affection for you, we were well-pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us. (1 Thes. 2:8)
Vision
Prayer Request
That God would encourage and strengthen us so that we would not grow weary in doing good. That the gospel of Christ would be powerful and life-changing for the students at RVA. That God would watch over and protect our older kids in universities in the States. That God would continue to provide for health, safety and finances.
