Jack and Mari Bell
KAMAKURA, JAPAN
Jack began attending Mountlake Church when he moved to Seattle in 1984. His first trip to Japan was with Youth With A Mission in 1987. After several years with YWAM and an internship at Calvary Fellowship, he returned to Japan to work alongside a Japanese pastor to plant a Calvary Chapel in Japan. He met his wife Mari there and together they pastor the church in Kamakura.
To pastor the church in Kamakura by teaching through the Bible and by providing discipleship classes and opportunities to serve. Outreach through English classes and street evangelism.
Mission
To disciple the people at Calvary Chapel Kamakura in order that they may grow in grace and their knowledge of God and His Word and be able to reach other Japanese people for Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20)
Vision
Prayer Request
For renewed opportunities to reach out to the community after the setbacks from the Covid 19 restrictions. Spiritual protection for Japanese believers. (Japan has very few Christians - less than 1% - and the spiritual atmosphere can be oppressive.) Encouragement for believers and empowerment by the Holy Spirit.
